See White Google announced recently that they’re going to come out with a new website ranking algorithm that’s going to put much more emphasis on speed of your website. Now speeds always been a factor. Back in the early days, you could load it up with keywords and stuff. It is what we called it and have a good domain name, and you could rank higher.
As time has gone on, they’ve come out with hundreds, if not thousands, of variables that they measure to rank website to make sure that people can find the best result that they’re looking for their update coming out soon. is going to measure three main factors as it relates to website speed number one. They’re calling it L C P largest contextual paint. So they are going to measure on your homepage or whatever page that a user lands on based on the search that they’ve done and however long it takes to paint the largest or load the largest piece of content, that’s what they’re going to measure. A quick load is going to get you a high score.
Slow load is going to get you a low one, and they’re going to use that variable to decide how good your website is. So, for example, if you have a large picture and some text on a page, it is going. The largest thing on that page is going to be considered the picture. So you are going to want to make sure that any pictures or any large piece of content or even code that is in your website loads really fast. The second thing that they’re going to look at is what they call F I s or first input delay.
That means that when a user clicks on something, whether it’s a link or a button or whatever you have on your website, they’re going to measure how quickly the response happens. So you’re going to have to have your Web master or, if you are a Web master, optimize your code to make sure that when someone does something, when they hit a link or they press a button that it responds very quickly. If it has a huge delay because the browser is doing some computing in the background or has to reach all the way back to the server, then you’re going to get penalized for that. So you’re gonna want to have your Web master or you.
They’re going to want to go in and make sure that there’s little to no delay. The third thing they’re going to look at is CLS or accumulative layout shift. So what they’re going to measure is how quickly your website comes into view, and things are where they are supposed to be. There’s nothing worse than a page that loads, and you’ve gone to try to press a button, and all of a sudden an ad appears or a image appears, that doesn’t do anything. When you were trying to click a link they want to know that you can load that page, and the format of that page comes up quickly. If that doesn’t happen, then you’re gonna get penalized, does happen.
Then you’re going to get a high score, and you’re going to rank better. These are the three factors that you want to make sure our highly tuned into your website so that you can make sure that when someone searches for a product or service that you offer that you rank high in the Google search engine results, you can get more customers.
